Junior Guard Lifesaving Sport
Coming to a beach near you.....
Not only are our Junior Members integral for our pipeline to future Active membership, but by providing Nipper programs, Surf Life Saving Clubs are ensuring that the next generation learns valuable life skills and knowledge which one day might save their life, or even perhaps the life of another.
Nippers/Junior guard/youth lifesaving sport is set to GROW this summer! Our Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service guarded beaches will have nipper boards available for those interested in having a go on one of our rescue boards! Nipper boards are sized for junior athletes and are foam for our youth athletes to build their skills and learn how to handle craft before moving on to our full size fibreglass rescue boards.
The clubs listed under our clubs heading also offer sport practices throughout the summer and attend our Junior Lifeguard Games at Rissers Beach on August 12th. Reach out to a club near you, ask our guards at the beaches, or just come down to our Junior Lifeguard Games to give lifesaving sport a go!
