NOVA SCOTIA LIFEGUARD SERVICE
LIFESAVING CLUB
Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service returns every summer to look after our Provincial Beaches. Throughout the summer, our lifeguards are required to complete daily inservice to maintain their fitness and skills to always be rescue ready. Both nationally and internationally, competitions are run on beaches for our lifeguards to show off their skills and abilities. These competitions offer a fun experience on a variety of beaches along with the opportunity to win prizes, glory and travel to some amazing locations to compete against the best in the world!
Any club is welcome to compete at the pool and beach competitions hosted by the lifesaving society. See our list of teams HERE. If you don't have a team and are looking to compete (you hold at least a Bronze lifesaving certification) you are most welcome to join our club any time. If you are looking to join us, please email Lauren at laurenc@lifesavingns.ca
NSLS-LC is a lifesaving club mostly built of our staff and alum looking to compete in beach and/or pool lifesaving sport but we welcome athletes looking for a home!

AIDAN MACDONALD:
Aidan started out running from a young age and it seemed to stick! Aidan now runs at Dalhousie on the XC/Track and field team. Last year was her first year attending surf lifesaving sport competitions and competing at nationals. Aidan learned a lot from her sister and friends who also compete, leading her to a spot on the national team! Aidan is grateful for the experiences and moments which have allowed her to participate in this new experience! Aidan has worked for NSLS for two summers and is the second generation in her family to do so with her Mom and Uncle also working for the NSLS.

Jude is from Bateston, NS and first competed in surf lifesaving during the summer of 2018.
